2012 ... and with it comes all the unhealthy eating habits that the festive season holds.
I decided to do a detox. I have tried a few before & admit that I did feel slightly better afterwards but had to fight off food cravings the whole time. A family member recommended this one & I am glad I tried it. It was tough to avoid the sweets aisle wherever I went (of course you're so much more aware of the food you can't have when you're on diet) but I never felt hungry. Not once. Somehow David Kirsch has gotten this detox right.
The directions say that this is the sole source of nutrition for 2 days. A liquid diet (no, not that type) for 2 days while you flush out the toxins in your body. You can also drink water or green tea. I found that drinking water was my preference. You mix 4oz of the liquid food with 4oz of water & have that 4 times a day instead of meals. It really worked. I had headaches the first day but by the time the 3rd day came I did really feel revitalised & detoxed. It set me on the right track for the rest of 2012.
I should still put a warning out there though ... bikini, here I come!! :)
